Over the past three years, Malaysia has experienced significant growth in its data center sector, positioning itself as Southeast Asia's leading hub for digital infrastructure. Malaysia secured MYR 141.7 billion (approximately USD 31.6 billion) in digital infrastructure investments, more than tripling the MYR 46.2 billion invested in 2023. This growth was driven by major tech players like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and Oracle. The country recorded a significant annual take-up of 429 MW of data center capacity, outperforming regional peers.
